| Hi everyone! I hope you're all enjoying the holidays. I too am making the most of it by eating non-stop and reading, sleeping or watching tv in between. And since I have some spare time, I decided to renew my blogging commitments by moving to a seemingly nicer blog. I hope that the cuter template would make me want to post more stuff to keep you guys updated about my life and what I've been up to.

| I’m getting dizzy. It’s a good thing I was able to ask my other classmates to help me research on some herbal plants for our biochem blah. I honestly don’t like reading through eighty pages of bibliographies, hoping to find the words Vitex negundo L. somewhere in the list. It’s stupid and hopeless and I’ve had enough. Haay…all this effort for seven additional freaking points! How desperate can we get?! I think doing this research is some kind of coercion. If you’re a student, hoping against all odds that the department will somehow feel the sudden urge to be kind and just curve our grades so that everyone will pass their super difficult subject, and then they dangle this 7 additional points for a decent research project…meyn! It’s like dangling bloody meat in front of 250 hungry sharks…of course we’d grab it! Little did we know that we are up for a very unnecessary challenge. Sige na nga…I’ll do it for the sake of science. Charing!
Sorry, walang kwenta yung sinulat ko. I just felt like whining about my life as a med student. I'll try to update my blog sometime soon.

| My hormones are funny. I'm so amazed at how I could go from ecstatically happy to almost in tears by just checking my e-mails (o talagang miss ko na kayong lahat). Ang weird talaga pag may hormonal imbalance or something. I felt like I would die of pain yesterday because of dysmenorrhea. Yung tatay ko naman siyempre di maka-relate kaya nakahiga na ako sa bathroom floor at namumutla (marica, medyo diaphoretic din hehe) dahil sa sakit, pinagsabihan pa ako na marumi don and I should take a bath already. Aba! Maybe I have an inverted uterus or something. Myka said I should start seeing an ob-gyne. Akala ko kasi pag sexually active ka na tsaka lang kailangan ng regular check-up. oh well...
Sayang yung UP-La Salle game! Bakit ang bobs nila ulit?! We were looking forward to watching the finals pa naman kung saka-sakali. If there would be a UP-FEU game siyempre maroons pa rin ako. I don't feel like cheering for my current school, parang walang teeny bit of loyalty. This school educates me academically but I don't get anything beyond that. Kaya "Let's go UP!" pa rin. Sana next year finalist na talaga sila.
Hmm..kwento...my classmates and I went to Marikina last saturday after our last midterm exam (biochem..ugh!). We had to check out something there (secret muna kung ano, next time na lang yung kwento about that). So nag-adventure na rin kami in search of the shoe stores. Siyempre, para sa aming mga dayo marikina=shoes kaya naman tumitigil kami at nagtatanong sa mga tao kung saan ba yung bentahan ng sapatos. Ang funny siguro namin baka isipin nung mga tao nanggu-good time lang kami. So napadpad kami sa market and there were a few store selling shoes. Di masyadong nice kaya medyo nakaka-disappoint but it's ok, at least we now know where it is. Marikina's really so clean! The wet market with all the meat and fish around wasn't even smelly and the floor was only a little damp. Kelan kaya magiging ganyan sa QC?
Kakainis lang nowadays, there's no pride in wearing a white uniform in public. Lahat ng studyante kasi naka-white na. Inaalok pa kami ng nursing shoes. Sorry sa mga friends ko na nagnu-nursing (love ko naman kayo), I have nothing against our chosen fields. Lahat naman tayo nasa health services but sometimes if we're toiling super hard at medyo malagas na ang hair ko kaka-aral, a little recognition would be nice. Next time, magbabaon na lang ako ng casual clothes para kebs lang.
Miss ko na kayong lahat super! Sana magparamdam naman kayo sakin. It would really cheer me up. :( | | |
| I finally got the chance to bring my unread emails from 98 to just
7. After months of not reading my mail, I finally have an
idea on how you guys are doing. Amazing! Inggit ako kay mavis,
baka two years pa before I could actually assist in an operation or
poke my hand into something...sayang hehe. I'm now spending the
entire night on doing useless stuff. As in my goal is to be as
unproductive as possible (except for the emails I suppose). Ang
saya para akong on-strike. Dami ko namang exams next week hehe.
By the way, for those who are interested, the Annual Philippine
Bookfair is now being held at the World Trade Center til
Sunday. Yun yung dating nasa megatrade hall parati.
Entrance fee is still Php 5.00 so punta na kayo at baka makatipid sa
ibang med books. As for me, it's part of my yearly therapy.
Kahit mahal pa rin yung mga gusto kong books at di ko pa rin maafford
kahit sale, ok na sakin malaman na available parin sila sa
market. Baka pag-doctor na ko mabibili ko na rin
yon...taaaaaggggaaaaaal pa noooooooon....

| So it’s been more than a month. It’s just now that I actually had the urge to write something; well it’s also because flooble-my chatterbox provider, sent me a letter that they would remove my account if I don’t post something soon. It’s not that I have something exciting to tell you guys kasi medyo wala pa rin, but in case you were wondering how I’m doing, read on…
Clad in my white uniform, semi high-heeled black shoes and this freaking ID that I hate so much cause it hurts my neck (parang yung feeling ni Gollum kapag tinatali siya ni Sam nung Elven rope niya..exagg!), I hurriedly (kasi parating late nagigising) go to school with the hopes of learning something new today that would somehow make my medlife interesting. Kasi naman po sobrang nakakabato! Can I just say na naiinggit ako kina Aubs kasi parang ang saya niya sa UE, sa PGH naman party galore talaga so obviously fun din at sa UST maraming cute hahaha! Siyempre sa St. Lukes masaya din kasi nandon si Tezuh to make their lives…NASTY hehe! So ako naman dito sa FEU eh walang ginagawa other than mag-attend ng class at hopefully matuto, so dapat mag-aral na lang, but as you probably all know, studying also requires a bit of inspiration which I don’t have yet kasi wala pa naman akong nakikitang mga pasyente na kailangan ng tulong ko. Anyway, I have great teachers so they will just serve as my inspirational mentors, hindi kasing effective ng biochem teacher nina myka (hehe hi myks!) pero pwede na rin. :)
Sabi ng mga groupmates ko sa gross, I should consider becoming a surgeon of some sort, baka cardio surgeon pa di ba para ang taray! I don’t know if I could take all that blood kasi yung cadaver naman wala nang blood so I just cut, probe and dissect all I want. Bahala na..that’s still a long way ahead.
Haaay…miss ko na kayong lahat grabe! Mavis, I have a classmate who kinda looks like you (mas maganda ka siyempre!) pero minus the kikay and the hirit, kulang ang showbiz personality niya haha. I miss our showbiz batch…dapat mag-reunion na tayo soon please.
